Quick answer
According to SkyGate's listings read on 3 October 2026, Lascaux IV: Admission + Guided tour covers a guided visit of the full replica of the cave followed by exhibition spaces, while the Lascaux II Guided Tour covers a facsimile of two parts of the cave, the Hall of the Bulls and the Axial Diverticulum. According to SkyGate, La Cité du Vin, Villa Cavrois and the Unterlinden Museum are single-venue admissions, and only La Cité du Vin has a second option, with two glasses of wine.
The short answer
These are five separate trips, so start from where you will be. For Lascaux, decide between two replicas at Montignac-Lascaux in the Dordogne; for the others, there is one ticket per venue in Bordeaux, near Lille and in Colmar. XTOUR's place records put the Lascaux sites and La Cité du Vin in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Villa Cavrois in Hauts-de-France and the Unterlinden Museum in Grand Est.
Lascaux IV or Lascaux II
Neither product takes you into the original Lascaux cave. The Lascaux Dordogne tourist office says the original cave was closed to the public in 1963 to protect the paintings. The same office describes Lascaux II as a facsimile of part of the cave, opened in 1983, and Lascaux IV as a replica of almost the whole cave with additional activities.[8]
Lascaux IV: Admission + Guided tour is a guided visit of the replica at the International Centre for Cave Art, followed by the interactive exhibition areas on your own.[1] The centre describes itself as the only full and exact replica of the original cave.[6] The three options differ only by language: English, French or Spanish. On 3 October 2026 SkyGate showed only four dates for the Spanish tour, all before 12 October, against more than 80 for English and French.[1]
Lascaux II Guided Tour is a guided visit with a mediator of the facsimile of the Hall of the Bulls and the Axial Diverticulum.[2] The operator says it lies 200 metres from the original and reproduces 85% of Lascaux's artworks. It is seasonal: the operator says it reopened on 4 April 2026, and the tourist office lists public opening until 1 November 2026, with only groups by reservation outside the season.[8][7] SkyGate showed 29 dates for the French option up to 1 November 2026, and only three for the English option, the last on 25 October 2026.[2]
The practical differences are stated on SkyGate's pages. SkyGate says Lascaux IV is fully accessible for visitors with reduced mobility, while Lascaux II is not wheelchair accessible because of sloping ground and stairs into the cave. SkyGate gives the temperature as 16°C inside the Lascaux IV replica and 13°C in Lascaux II, and recommends warm clothing for both. Both pages say pushchairs are not allowed inside, so bring a baby carrier. For both, SkyGate says children under 5 go free but need a free reserved ticket from the official website, and both tickets are non-refundable. SkyGate's Lascaux IV page asks you to arrive at least 10 minutes before your time slot, and its Lascaux II page asks for 15 minutes.[2][1] See the Lascaux IV and Lascaux II pages on XTOUR.
La Cité du Vin: with or without two glasses
La Cité du Vin: Permanent Exhibition + Belvedere has two options. Admission covers the Permanent Exhibition with a multimedia guide in several languages and access to the Belvedere; Admission + 2 Glasses of Wine adds a tasting of two glasses at the Belvedere. The plain Admission option's text also mentions a tasting at the top, which the rest of the listing does not repeat, so XTOUR treats only the two-glass option as a confirmed tasting. The two-glass option is for adults only and SkyGate asks you to select one adult for it; the Admission option has child tickets from 6 to 17, with under-6s free. SkyGate says the Belvedere can only be reached with Permanent Exhibition admission.[3]
The venue says it is open every day from 3 April to 31 October 2026, with different hours from 1 November.[9] SkyGate allows a full refund up to 24 hours before. See the La Cité du Vin page on XTOUR.
Villa Cavrois: the modernist house near Lille
The Villa Cavrois Ticket is one adult option covering the whole monument and its grounds, which SkyGate describes as Robert Mallet-Stevens's modern château for the Cavrois family, with a water mirror and a swimming pool in the park.[4] The monument's own site says entry is free for under-26s (school groups excepted), so SkyGate's adult-only ticket is for older visitors. It also warns that avenue Kennedy, which serves the villa, will be hard to reach by car with no parking from 28 September to 28 October 2026, while the pavements stay open for walking in. The site advertises a temporary exhibition from 6 October to 13 December 2026, which SkyGate's option does not mention, so do not assume it is part of this ticket.[4][10] SkyGate allows a full refund up to 24 hours before. See the Villa Cavrois page on XTOUR.
Unterlinden Museum: Colmar and the Isenheim Altarpiece
The Unterlinden Museum Ticket is general admission to the museum in Colmar, including the permanent collection and the temporary exhibition, with works from the Middle Ages to modern art and the Isenheim Altarpiece.[5] The temporary exhibition the museum lists for 2026 is Conversation(s), from 26 June to 7 December 2026; it is not part of the permanent collection. The museum gives its opening days as Wednesday to Monday, so it is closed on Tuesdays.[11] SkyGate says children under 12 go free and that audio guides cost extra on site.[5] SkyGate allows a full refund up to 24 hours before. See the Unterlinden Museum page on XTOUR.
