Why go

Doñana National Park is a protected area in the provinces of Huelva and Seville, Andalusia; Spain's national parks network describes it as a mosaic of ecosystems including beach, dunes, scrubland (cotos) and marsh. A visitor-information document of the Junta de Andalucía dated 2020, published on the network's site, says the park was declared by decree on 16 October 1969, and that a 1999 law joined the National Park and the Doñana Natural Park into a single Doñana Natural Space. The same document lists visitor centres including El Acebuche, La Rocina and the Palacio del Acebrón, says guided itineraries in the Natural Space are run by concessionary or authorised companies and that booking ahead is advisable because places are limited, and says the southern itinerary by off-road vehicle is booked at El Acebuche. This record is the park as an area: its pin is a point inside the park, not a visitor centre or an entrance.
