iZoo

体感動物園iZoo

A reptile and amphibian zoo in Kawazu, Izu, that its operator calls Japan's first experiential zoo for reptiles.

Why go

iZoo is a zoo of reptiles and amphibians at Hama 406-2 in Kawazu, Kamo District, on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture. The operator calls it Japan's first experiential animal zoo specialising in reptiles and amphibians and lists an on-site veterinary hospital for reptiles and amphibians. It does not admit pets because of the dangerous animals on site, apart from documented service animals. The operator runs a separate frog facility, KawaZoo, at a different address in Kawazu, and iZoo's own site links the two. Opening hours are on the operator's information page.
