Kasuga Taisha is a Shinto shrine at Kasugano-cho 160, Nara. The shrine's own site says it was established in 768 and enshrines the deity Takemikazuchi, brought from Kashima in Ibaraki Prefecture, and and its news and gallery pages refer to Kasuga Mantoro lantern events. The site advertises guided special visits to the main sanctuary and gives general grounds hours of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the text read on 29 September 2026.
