Katsuo-ji (勝尾寺) is a Buddhist temple in the hills of Minoh, Osaka Prefecture, and is temple number 23 of the Saigoku Thirty-three Kannon pilgrimage. Its official site, katsuo-ji-temple.or.jp, presents it around prayers for winning fortune and its kachi-daruma, red daruma figures on which visitors paint one eye when setting a goal and the second when it is reached, before returning the figure to the temple.
