Lost World of Tambun: park ticket or Screamfest 5 night

Lost World of Tambun, the Sunway-run park in Sunway City Ipoh, is sold on SkyGate in two ways: a park ticket with four options, and a single evening ticket for Screamfest 5: Sawadee, the park's Halloween event for 2026.[2][1] The Screamfest ticket only makes sense on one of the nine event nights the operator lists: 16 to 18 October, 23 to 25 October, and 30 October to 1 November 2026.[3] On any other day, the product that applies is the Lost World of Tambun Theme Park Ticket.

What the park ticket names

The Lost World of Tambun Theme Park Ticket has four options on SkyGate. Two are Admission, at an International Travellers or a Malaysian Citizens rate, and two are Admission to Hot Springs Night Park Only, at the same two rates. SkyGate describes the park as an amusement and water park with themed zones, a petting zoo and animal feeding shows, and it mentions the natural mineral hot springs after dark.[1]

SkyGate's page does not spell out whether the full Admission option also covers the Hot Springs & Night Park in the evening, and XTOUR has not verified it. Read the option details on SkyGate before choosing between the two.

SkyGate's notes say children below 90 cm go free, and children above 90 cm and up to 12 years old need a child ticket. The same notes tell visitors to check the official website for daily opening hours and closure dates.[1] XTOUR has not re-verified the park's hours for this guide: the operator's main site did not load for XTOUR's reader on 28 September 2026. Screamfest 5: Sawadee, on nine nights only

The Lost World of Tambun Screamfest 5: Sawadee ticket has one option, titled Lost World Hot Springs Night Park and Screamfest 5 - Admission. SkyGate's description places the event after sunset, with scare experiences, shows and performances, followed by the attractions of the Hot Springs Night Park. Its highlights describe the theme as the supernatural tales of Ipoh.[2]

The operator's own web store lists 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 October and 1 November as "Screamfest 2026 Event" dates.[3] That is three runs of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. SkyGate's description, by contrast, says Halloween is celebrated "all month long", which does not match the operator's nine dates.[2][3] XTOUR goes by the operator.

This is a dated product. XTOUR treats the Screamfest ticket as bookable until 1 November 2026, the last event night, and not after it. Once that night has passed, only the park ticket remains among the Lost World of Tambun products in this guide.

SkyGate's Screamfest page gives no start time for the event evenings and no minimum age for the scare experiences, and XTOUR has not verified either. The only child rule it states is the park's own: free below 90 cm, and a child ticket above 90 cm up to 12 years old.[2]

The night park on an event night

The operator's web store sells its own Hot Springs Night Park entrance vouchers, and its terms list the nine Screamfest dates as blackout dates for them.[3] SkyGate's park-ticket page does not say whether its Hot Springs Night Park Only option can be used on a Screamfest night, and XTOUR has not verified it. XTOUR's reading is that if you want the night park on one of those evenings, the one product whose option names both is the Screamfest ticket.

The same question applies to the daytime park. SkyGate's pages do not say whether a full Admission ticket used on an event date lets you stay on for Screamfest in the evening, and XTOUR does not know. Ask SkyGate or the park before relying on it.

How to choose

If you are visiting on a date that is not one of the nine event nights, or at any point after 1 November 2026, choose the Lost World of Tambun Theme Park Ticket. Pick the Admission option for the park, or the night-park-only option if the evening hot springs are all you want.[1]

If you are there on an event night and want the Halloween programme, choose Lost World of Tambun Screamfest 5: Sawadee. The park ticket has separate International Travellers and Malaysian Citizens options, whereas the Screamfest ticket has a single option with no such split in its title.[2][1]

Families should weigh the gaps before booking Screamfest. SkyGate's page states no age guidance for the scare experiences, and XTOUR has none to add.
