Paris monument tickets: Sainte-Chapelle to the Catacombs

According to SkyGate's listings, eight Paris monument products range from a combined Sainte-Chapelle and Conciergerie ticket to a Notre-Dame tour, a virtual-reality show, the Panthéon, the Catacombs and the Hôtel de la Marine. This guide says what each one admits you to, and what it does not.

Quick answer

Pick the monument first, then the format. According to SkyGate's listings read on 3 October 2026, the Sainte Chapelle Ticket admits you to both Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie, the Conciergerie priority ticket covers the Conciergerie only, and the Sainte-Chapelle tour adds an English-speaking guide. Eternal Notre-Dame is a virtual-reality experience, not entry to the cathedral; the Notre Dame exterior tour is the product that lists cathedral entry.

The short answer

These eight products cover six Paris monuments and one virtual-reality show, and each one admits you to exactly what its option says. Decide on the monument first, then on the format SkyGate's options describe: a timed admission, an admission with a guide, or a guided walk that ends at the door.[4][2][1] The most common mix-ups are between Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie, which are separate monuments, and between Notre-Dame cathedral and Eternal Notre-Dame, which is a virtual-reality experience.

Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie: one, the other, or both

The two monuments sit side by side on Île de la Cité but have separate addresses and separate operator pages: the Sainte-Chapelle at 10 boulevard du Palais and the Conciergerie at 2 boulevard du Palais. Both pages say the monument is part of the Palais de Justice and subject to that site's security rules, with bulky bags, glass bottles, sharp objects and motorbike helmets prohibited.[11][9] The Sainte-Chapelle's FAQ puts the long wait there down to strict security checks.[10]

Sainte Chapelle Ticket is, despite its title, the combined product. Its only option is Sainte Chapelle & Conciergerie - Admission, with admission to both and a Histopad tablet for the Conciergerie. SkyGate says time slots are 30 minutes, so a 10.00 booking must enter by 10.30, through a dedicated line and a security check.[1] The Sainte-Chapelle's FAQ says the reserved slot on a combined ticket is for the Sainte-Chapelle only, and that you visit the Conciergerie before or after it, allowing between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes there.[10] SkyGate says the Histopad is available until 16:30, while the Conciergerie's own page says the tablets are available until 4.15pm.[11] SkyGate marks the option non-refundable.[1]

Sainte-Chapelle Tour with English Live Commentary & Reserved Entry is the guided way into the Sainte-Chapelle alone. SkyGate lists admission and live commentary in the price, with a headset and radio. The guide meets you at 77 Rue Galande in the 5th arrondissement, not at the chapel, and SkyGate says you must meet the guide there to receive entry. Notre Dame and the Conciergerie are seen from outside on the way; the option lists no Conciergerie admission. SkyGate's listing mentions a dress code under which hats and skirts are not permitted; the operator pages XTOUR read state no dress code, so XTOUR has not verified it.[2]

Conciergerie: Priority Entrance covers the Conciergerie only. Its voucher text says to go to the Priority Entrance for ticket holders, bypassing the purchase line, and that a second security check follows on the other side. It is non-refundable, and its option address is the Conciergerie at 2 Boulevard du Palais, even though the page header names the Sainte-Chapelle.[3] The Conciergerie's page says it closes at 2pm on Wednesday 8 October, and that it is not equipped with access for people with reduced mobility.[11]

Notre-Dame: the cathedral or the virtual-reality show

Notre Dame Exterior Tour with English- or Spanish-Speaking Guide & Cathedral Entry is a guided walk around the outside of the cathedral, followed by an interior visit on your own with a mobile audio guide. The meeting point is in front of Cité metro station (Line 4), 1 Rue de Lutèce, and SkyGate asks you to bring your own headphones. Its itinerary says your guide helps you join the queue for entry and that the guided part ends at the cathedral entrance, so it is not sold as a queue-skipping product. SkyGate says entry is subject to a security check and a dress code, and that opening hours may vary during religious ceremonies.[4] The cathedral's own website could not be read when XTOUR checked, so XTOUR repeats no further visiting rules. See the Notre-Dame de Paris page on XTOUR.

Eternal Notre-Dame: Virtual Experience Ticket does not include entry to the cathedral. SkyGate describes a virtual-reality tour of the cathedral's history at the Notre-Dame Space, 6 Rue de la Cité, with access to an exhibition on the restoration trades.[5] The operator runs the show at two locations, on the cathedral square and at the Grande Arche in La Défense; going by the address, XTOUR's reading is that this ticket is for the location by the cathedral. The operator says the show is in French, English and Spanish and is not recommended for children under 11, while SkyGate says children under 8 cannot take part.[5][12] SkyGate also says it is not recommended for people with epilepsy.[5]

Panthéon: two options on one listing

Paris: Pantheon Skip-the-Line Admission includes admission, and both options say the upper floor is not included.[6] The Panthéon's own page says the ticket covers the nave and the crypt and that the panoramic view is closed to visitors.[13] The two options are the standard admission and a Wednesday admission; SkyGate's page does not say how they differ beyond the day.[6] When XTOUR checked SkyGate's calendar on 3 October 2026, only the Wednesday option showed open dates. The Wednesday option's voucher says to show your smartphone ticket at the ticket holders line.[6] See the Panthéon page on XTOUR.

The Catacombs: a one-way underground circuit

The Paris Catacombs - Skip-the-line with Audio Guide lists admission, skip-the-line access and an audio guide, and asks you to arrive at least 15 minutes before your time slot. SkyGate says tickets for visitors aged 17 and under can only be bought on arrival, not online.[7] The operator says the 1.5-kilometre circuit is one-way, entering at 1 avenue du Colonel Henri Rol-Tanguy and leaving at 21 bis avenue René-Coty, with 131 steps down and 112 back up. It also says visitor numbers are capped at 200 and entry may be paused when it is very busy, so the listing's wording is not a promise of no wait. The operator says the site is not wheelchair accessible, that strollers and suitcases are not allowed, and that there is no cloakroom.[15][14] See the Catacombs of Paris page on XTOUR.

Hôtel de la Marine: apartments or the Al Thani galleries

Hôtel de la Marine has two options, each with a multilingual audio guide and access to the 19th-century lounges and the Loggia. The Intendant's Apartments Admission excludes the Al Thani Collection; the Al Thani Collection Admission covers its exhibition galleries.[8] The operator says the Al Thani Collection tour runs only while an Al Thani Collection exhibition is open.[17] Its current exhibition, Animalia, runs from 1 July 2026 to 10 January 2027.[16] In XTOUR's reading, the Al Thani option is a temporary exhibition rather than a permanent collection, so check the dates before booking it for a visit after 10 January 2027. The operator gives 1 hour 15 minutes for either tour.[17] See the Hôtel de la Marine page on XTOUR.
