Quick answer

According to SkyGate's listings read on 3 October 2026, both Go City San Antonio passes cover three attractions within 30 days, but the Essentials Pass makes one of them a featured pick (SeaWorld San Antonio, Aquatica or the Natural Bridge Caverns Outdoor Discovery Package), while the Highlights Pass lets you choose any three from the main list. If the zoo is your only plan, the San Antonio Zoo Ticket covers it on its own.

The short answer

The two Go City San Antonio passes work the same way and differ in one rule. Both cover three attractions, each visited once, within 30 days of your first visit.[2] The Go City San Antonio Essentials Pass: 3 Attractions makes you take one of the three from a featured tier of SeaWorld San Antonio, the Natural Bridge Caverns Outdoor Discovery Package or Aquatica Waterpark San Antonio.[1] The Go City San Antonio Highlights Pass: 3 Attractions has no featured tier: you pick any three from its list.[2]

So the question is simple: is one of your three days SeaWorld, Aquatica or the caverns' outdoor package? If yes, the Essentials Pass. If not, the Highlights Pass. And if the zoo is the only paid attraction you plan, the San Antonio Zoo Ticket on its own.[3]

The single option, 3-Attraction Pass, asks you to select one featured attraction and then two more from the included list. The featured tier is SeaWorld San Antonio, the Natural Bridge Caverns Outdoor Discovery Package and Aquatica Waterpark San Antonio. The list for the other two picks is San Antonio Zoo, a San Antonio Missions UNESCO World Heritage Site tour, the Natural Bridge Caverns Discovery Tour, the GO RIO San Antonio River Cruise, San Antonio Botanical Garden, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, SEA LIFE San Antonio, Tower of the Americas, the Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum, The Witte Museum, Tejas Rodeo Company and a historic highlights tour.[1]

SkyGate's listing says you show the QR code on your digital pass at each attraction, and that included attractions can change without notice. Ticket types are adult (12 and over) and child (3 to 11).[1]

Go City San Antonio Highlights Pass: any three

The single option, 3-Attraction Pass, gives entry to any three participating attractions. SkyGate's list is the Natural Bridge Caverns Discovery Tour, San Antonio Zoo, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Tower of the Americas, SEA LIFE San Antonio, the GO RIO San Antonio River Cruise, San Antonio Botanical Garden, The Witte Museum, the Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum, Tejas Rodeo Company, a San Antonio Historic Highlights City Tour and a San Antonio Missions UNESCO World Heritage Site tour.[2] That is the same set of names as the Essentials Pass's main list, without the featured tier.

SkyGate's listing says some attractions require advance reservations through the Go City app and that opening hours may vary. Ticket types are adult (12 and over) and child (3 to 11).[2]

Both passes are entitlements to choose from a list, not a plan to visit every name on it. Read the current list in the Go City app before you buy, since both listings say it can change.[2][1]

San Antonio Zoo Ticket: the zoo alone

The single option is admission to San Antonio Zoo. Ticket types are adult (12 and over) and child (3 to 11), and the page says children under 3 go free. SkyGate describes the zoo as covering 57 acres in Brackenridge Park with more than 750 animal species, and names Big Cat Valley, the Naylor Savanna, Africa Live, Wild Australia, the Friedrich Aquarium and Kronkosky's Tiny Tot Nature Spot for children under 5. SkyGate gives the address as North Saint Mary's Street, San Antonio.[3]

The zoo's own website refused XTOUR's read on 3 October 2026, so XTOUR does not publish its hours or rules; check them with the zoo before you go. See the San Antonio Zoo page on XTOUR.

How to choose

  • SeaWorld San Antonio, Aquatica or the Natural Bridge Caverns Outdoor Discovery Package, plus two more: the Go City San Antonio Essentials Pass.
  • Any three of the zoo, the river cruise, the tower, museums, caverns tour or missions tour: the Go City San Antonio Highlights Pass.
  • The zoo and nothing else paid: the San Antonio Zoo Ticket.

XTOUR's reading: because the zoo is on both pass lists, a family that wants the zoo and two other list attractions gets all three on the Highlights Pass, and should take the Essentials Pass only if a featured-tier park is the reason for the trip.

Before you book

  • Each pass attraction can be visited once, within 30 days of the first.[2][1]
  • Some pass attractions need an advance reservation in the Go City app.[2]
  • Pass ticket types change at age 12: adult 12 and over, child 3 to 11.[1]
  • The zoo's hours were not readable from its own site; confirm them directly.
