Sepang 2026: F1 and MotoGP race weekend tickets

Two race weekends at Sepang International Circuit are on sale through SkyGate in 2026, and each listing ends when its weekend does. The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026 takes place from 2 to 4 October.[3] The MotoGP PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia 2026 follows from 30 October to 1 November.[7][6] After 4 October 2026 the F1 product can no longer be booked, and after 1 November 2026 neither can. This guide covers those two 2026 weekends and nothing beyond them.

The Formula 1 weekend, 2 to 4 October 2026

Formula 1 and the FIA announced on 26 July 2026 that Malaysia would host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit from 2 to 4 October 2026.[3] Formula 1's published timetable puts practice on Friday 2 October, qualifying on Saturday 3 October and the 56-lap race on Sunday 4 October.[4] The circuit's own home page lists the event for 2 to 4 October.[5] SkyGate's description says the Bahrain Grand Prix moves to Malaysia for one year.[1]

What the F1 listing sells

The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026 listing has 13 options on SkyGate. Nine are 3-Day Passes by seating area: B Hillstand, C Hillstand and K2 Hillstand, each also offered as a separate option for Malaysian citizens holding a MyKad, plus Main Grandstand, K1 Grandstand and F Grandstand. Two are combos of a C Hillstand 3-Day Pass with a concert upgrade, one for Martin Garrix on 4 October and one for Axwell on 3 October.[1]

The last two options are the concert upgrades on their own, and their titles say "Race ticket not included". SkyGate's notes say a valid Formula 1 Malaysia race ticket is required for a concert upgrade, whether it is bought separately or as part of a combo.[1] They also say the upgrade voucher does not itself grant entry to the concert. It has to be exchanged for a wristband at the Corporate and Reseller Collection Office of the Sama-Sama Hotel at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Jalan CTA 4B, 64000 KLIA.[1]

SkyGate's page does not say where or at what time the concerts take place, and XTOUR has not verified either. XTOUR's reading is simple: buy a concert-only upgrade only if you already hold a race ticket, and otherwise choose one of the two C Hillstand combos, which name both.

The MotoGP weekend, 30 October to 1 November 2026

Sepang International Circuit's event page gives the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia 2026 as 30 October to 1 November 2026.[6] MotoGP's own calendar lists the Malaysia round on the same dates.[7] The circuit says Friday 30 October is free entry to all seat zones.[6]

The MotoGP PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia 2026 listing has five options, all of them 3-Day Passes: Premier Seat, Premier Roving, Marc Marquez Tribune at K1 Grandstand, Main Grandstand and F Grandstand. SkyGate's notes say ticket access is for Saturday and Sunday, and repeat that Friday is free entry to all seat zones. They add that programmes, facilities and off-track activities will be announced later.[2] SkyGate's option titles do not describe what the Premier Seat and Premier Roving options include, and XTOUR has not verified it.

When XTOUR read the circuit's page on 28 September 2026, its own ticket listing showed the Premier Seat as sold out.[6] SkyGate still lists a Premier Seat option, and XTOUR has not verified whether it can still be booked for the event.

Tickets, delivery and what these pages leave out

SkyGate's notes on both listings say the official e-ticket is delivered no later than three days before the event, normally by email. They ask buyers who have not received it three days before the event to contact the partner they booked with.[2][1] With the F1 weekend starting on 2 October, a booking made in the last few days leaves little room inside that window. XTOUR has not verified how late SkyGate accepts bookings for either weekend.

Sepang International Circuit is at Jalan Pekeliling, 64000 KLIA, Selangor, according to Sepang International Circuit.[5] Neither SkyGate listing names transport to the circuit, and XTOUR has not verified shuttle or public transport arrangements for either weekend. Neither page names the gate for each grandstand either, and XTOUR does not publish one. See the Sepang International Circuit page on XTOUR for the venue.

How to choose

For Formula 1, pick a 3-Day Pass by seating area. The three MyKad options are separate options for Malaysian citizens, as their titles say, and every other pass carries no such label.[1] If you want a concert as well and do not yet hold a race ticket, the two C Hillstand combos are the options that pair a race pass with an upgrade.

For MotoGP, every option is a 3-Day Pass, so the choice is the seating area, from F Grandstand and Main Grandstand to the K1 tribune and the two Premier options. Remember that the circuit makes Friday free to all seat zones, so the pass matters for Saturday and Sunday.[2][6]

If your dates fall between the two weekends or after 1 November 2026, neither product applies, and this guide has nothing else to offer at Sepang.

Before you book

• The Formula 1 weekend is 2 to 4 October 2026, with the race on Sunday 4 October.[4][3]
• The MotoGP weekend is 30 October to 1 November 2026.[7][6]
