Quick answer
According to SkyGate's listings read on 29 September 2026, each of the five tickets admits you to one deck: the Skytree Tembo Deck (with a Galleria option), the Tokyo Tower Main Deck, the indoor Tokyo City View in Roppongi, or Sunshine 60 in Ikebukuro. Choose Skytree if you want the higher of the two Skytree levels, Tokyo Tower for the 150 m Main Deck, and Roppongi or Sunshine 60 for an indoor deck.
The short answer
Choose the deck first, then the ticket. SkyGate sells five observation-deck products for Tokyo, and each one admits you to a single deck, so the real decision is between four views: the Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo City View in Roppongi and Sunshine 60 in Ikebukuro. Only Skytree has a choice of heights inside one building.[5][4][3][1]
Skytree: the Tembo Deck, or the Deck plus the Galleria
The operator's English site describes two observation areas: the Tembo Deck on floors 340, 345 and 350, and the Tembo Galleria, a sky-high corridor at 445 and 450 metres. The main entrance and ticket counter are on the 4th floor.[6]
The Tokyo Skytree Observation Deck Ticket has two options: the Tembo Deck (350m) alone, or the Tembo Deck plus the Tembo Galleria (450m). The COMBO: Tokyo Skytree + Tembo Galleria Ticket is a separate SkyGate listing with a single option, and that option carries the same title and description as the second option above.[2][1] XTOUR's reading: the practical choice is the Deck only or the Deck with the Galleria, and the two listings overlap on the second. Book whichever listing shows the option and date you want.
Both listings say to show the mobile voucher at a designated counter to receive physical tickets, and SkyGate says the counter opens daily from 08:00 to 21:00.[1] The operator gives its own hours for the day as 10:00 to 22:00 with final entry at 21:00, and SkyGate's combo page gives different hours, so hours are unsettled: check the operator's page before you go.[6][2]
Tokyo Tower: the 150 m Main Deck
The Tokyo Tower Ticket admits you to the Main Deck Observatory at 150 metres in both options: general admission, or an option for students aged 16 to 18 and toddlers aged 4 to 6. The operator's site lists the Main Deck at 150 metres and the Top Deck Tour (150 m plus 250 m) as a separate item; SkyGate's options do not name the Top Deck, so treat it as not included.[10] SkyGate's description says the Main Deck has a glass floor called the Skywalk Window, and a Shinto shrine.[3]
Redemption is different from Roppongi and Sunshine 60: SkyGate says to exchange your confirmation, with a copy of your passport, at the ticketing counter.[3]
Tokyo City View, Roppongi: indoor, with caveats this autumn
Tokyo City View is on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. The Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View Observation Deck Ticket has general and student options (high school and university students aged 16 to 22 with valid ID, according to SkyGate), and neither includes the outdoor Sky Deck.[4] The operator's page says the rooftop Sky Deck is closed until further notice.[7] Redemption is at the Museum and Observatory Tickets counter on the 3rd floor.[4]
The operator's notice of 10 September 2026 lists dates in the coming weeks: the deck is closed all day on 27 October, 10 November and 12 November; parts are restricted on 13 to 16 October (the Shinjuku and Shibuya-facing gallery), and 28 to 30 October, 4 November and 9 November (including the Mt. Fuji-facing area).[8] If you are travelling in that window, this is the ticket most affected.
Sunshine 60, Ikebukuro: a deck built as an indoor park
The Sunshine 60 Observatory Tenbou Park is on the 60th floor; the operator gives 251 metres above sea level, a lawn-style area called Tenbo Hill, and hours of 11:00 to 21:00 with last admission at 20:30.[9] It is the only one of the five with three options: general admission, youth admission for ages 12 to 15, and admission with a multilingual audio guide, which SkyGate says runs on your own phone and needs your own earphones. SkyGate's options say to make your own way, with direct admission. When XTOUR checked, SkyGate's calendar showed only one open date in its window, starting 30 September, so confirm a date before planning around it.[5]
How to choose

- An indoor deck in Roppongi, and you are not travelling on the notice dates: the Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View Observation Deck Ticket.
- A deck you can also linger in, with an audio guide option: Sunshine 60 Observatory Tenbou Park.
See the Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo City View, Tokyo Tower and Sunshine 60 Observatory Tenbou Park pages on XTOUR for each place.

Frequently asked questions
Good to know
Are the two Tokyo Skytree tickets different products?
According to SkyGate's listings, the Tokyo Skytree Observation Deck Ticket has two options, the Tembo Deck (350m) alone and the Tembo Deck plus Tembo Galleria (450m) combination. The COMBO: Tokyo Skytree + Tembo Galleria Ticket lists one option whose title and description match that second option.
Does the Tokyo Tower Ticket include the Top Deck?
SkyGate's two options name only the Main Deck Observatory at 150 metres. The operator's Japanese site lists the Top Deck Tour (150 m plus 250 m) as a separate product, and SkyGate's listing does not name it.
Does the Tokyo City View ticket include the outdoor Sky Deck?
No. According to SkyGate's listing, the ticket does not include the Sky Deck, and according to the operator's page the rooftop Sky Deck is closed until further notice.
Do I collect a paper ticket or walk straight in?
It depends on the deck. SkyGate's options for Skytree, Tokyo City View and Tokyo Tower each say to exchange the voucher at a counter, on the 4th floor at Skytree, the 3rd floor at Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, and the ticketing counter at Tokyo Tower. According to SkyGate, the Sunshine 60 options are direct admission with no counter exchange.
