Why go
Cambridge University Botanic Garden is the University of Cambridge's botanic garden; by its own account it holds over 8,000 plant species for teaching and research and is also open to the public, with sections from tropical glasshouses to British wild flowers. The garden's visit page says walk-up visitors can pay at a ticket office on arrival or buy tickets online in advance, and that its entrances are Brookside Gate on Trumpington Road and Station Road Gate on Hills Road. Its visiting page says only trained assistance dogs are admitted, and that bicycles, foot-scooters, ball games and drones may not be used in the garden. The garden may close in high winds, according to the same page. This record is the garden as a whole; its map point is inside the grounds, not at either gate.
