Why go

King's College Chapel belongs to King's College, a college of the University of Cambridge; this record is the chapel, not the college as a whole and not King's College London's chapel. The college's history page says Henry VI laid the foundation stone on 25 July 1446, that the main structure was complete by 1515, and that Henry VIII was responsible for the screen and much of the chapel woodwork. The college's services page says chapel services are free and open to visitors, that people are not admitted once a service has begun, and that recording or photography of any kind is not allowed in services. Tourist visits are ticketed: the college's opening times and tickets page sells tickets for tourist visits by time slot.
