Why go

Vietnam's Department of Cultural Heritage register describes the Cần Thơ Museum as presenting objects on the land and people of Cần Thơ through its historical periods, including the Kinh, Hoa and Khmer communities. It says the museum was founded in 1976, took the name Cần Thơ Museum in 1992, and opened in a new building on 31 August 2001. The register lists its displays as the natural and social features of Cần Thơ, the Óc Eo culture, the cultures of the Việt, Hoa and Khmer, the resistance wars against France and the United States, and achievements since 1975, with a room for changing special exhibitions. It gives the address as Tân An, Ninh Kiều, Cần Thơ. Opening, tickets and the managing body were not read, because the museum's site did not answer.
