Château et jardins de Villandry
A Renaissance château and its celebrated gardens at Villandry in Indre-et-Loire (Centre-Val de Loire).
The château and gardens of Villandry are at 3 rue Principale in Villandry, Indre-et-Loire, in the Centre-Val de Loire région. The operator says that in 1532 François I's finance minister Jean Breton transformed a medieval fortress into a modern Renaissance residence, and that the gardens, restored by Joachim Carvallo in the early 20th century, blend several historical styles. The operator's site (read 2026-10-03) says the gardens are open daily except 25 December, while the château is open 7 February to 11 November 2026 and 28 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, except 25 December. Château and gardens can therefore be visited on separate terms.
