Why go
The Church of St. Leodegar, also known as the Hofkirche, is described by Lucerne Tourism as the parish church of Lucerne, and the Catholic Church in the City of Lucerne lists St. Leodegar im Hof among its parishes. Lucerne Tourism's page says a small monastery was founded on the site around 735/736, that it became a collegiate church in 1455/56, whose canons have since recited the Divine Office every morning and evening, and that the church was rebuilt after a fire in 1633. The same page says the church treasury can only be visited on a guided tour, and that the organ was built in 1640 and extended in 1862 and again between 1972 and 1977. This record is the church, not its archive (Q27485026) or its organ.
