The Hakone Venetian Glass Museum, known in Japanese as Hakone Glass no Mori, stands at 940-48 Sengokuhara in Hakone, Kanagawa. According to the operator it is Japan's first art museum dedicated to Venetian glass. Its collection of about 1,000 items includes Venetian works of the 15th and 16th centuries, ancient glass, 19th-century Salviati decorative pieces and contemporary glass art, with roughly 100 pieces on rotating display. A garden overlooks Owakudani and shows glass sculptures with seasonal flowers. There is also a cafe-restaurant, a museum shop and glass workshops.
