Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts de Lausanne
The Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts (MCBA) is the canton of Vaud's fine-arts museum at Plateforme 10, Place de la Gare 16, beside Lausanne station.
Why go
This record is the fine-arts museum, not the Plateforme 10 arts district around it and not its library. The museum's site says the MCBA left the Palais de Rumine for a purpose-built building next to Lausanne station, and Plateforme 10's site says the district houses three cantonal museums of Vaud: the MCBA, mudac (design and contemporary applied arts) and Photo Elysée (photography). The MCBA shows its collection in a permanent display alongside temporary exhibitions. The museum sells tickets through its own ticket office, and Plateforme 10 offers a combined ticket for the three museums.
