Orbeli Brothers House-Museum

Levon Orbeli's birthplace in Tsaghkadzor, turned into a house-museum in 1972 for him and his brothers Ruben and Hovsep, three scientists of the Soviet era who were born in the town.

Why go
The museum is divided into two parts. A memorial section keeps the brothers' desk, armchair and cabinet with their books, manuscripts and personal belongings, while a scientific section presents their academic work. Across both, the collection runs to about 2,000 items, including photographs, documents and household objects. It is a narrow-interest stop, best for visitors curious about Armenian scientific history, and it sits in the same town as Kecharis Monastery, so the two pair easily.
