Why go
This record is the waterfall, not the mountain Dolok Sipiso-piso and not other waterfalls of the same name. The North Sumatra provincial government's tourism page places it in Desa Tongging, Kecamatan Merek, Kabupaten Karo, not far from Lake Toba, and says it is formed by an underground river from the Karo plateau that emerges from a cave in the side of the Toba crater. The page explains the name: piso means knife, because from a distance the fall looks small and long like a knife. XTOUR states nothing about paths, stairs or viewpoints.
