Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, reached only by the authorised ferry.

Why go

The Statue of Liberty stands on Liberty Island in New York Harbor and is part of Statue of Liberty National Monument, run by the National Park Service. The park's visitor page, read on 3 October 2026, says Statue City Cruises is the only authorised ticket seller and the only ferry that brings visitors to the islands, departing from The Battery in New York and Liberty State Park in New Jersey. It says all visitors need ferry tickets and that pedestal and crown access require advance purchase.
