Whirlpool State Park is a New York State park on the American rim of the Niagara Gorge in the City of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, along Whirlpool Boulevard. The state parks page, read on 3 October 2026, says the Niagara River bends sharply here, creating a whirlpool and Class VI rapids; that gorge trails range from rim walks to rock scrambling beside unguarded drops; that it is open year-round from dawn to dusk; and that, as part of Niagara Falls State Park, it is free to enter and park.
