Traveling With Kidsin Batumi

A practical guide to visiting Batumi with babies, toddlers, children and teenagers, including strollers, transport and family logistics.

Family travel

Batumi with children

Batumi works well for families because the central boulevard is open and recreational, the city has beaches and parks, and several attractions are specifically family-oriented.

Babies

Choose accommodation with lifts and enough space for a cot. In summer, avoid long periods on the exposed seafront during the hottest part of the day.

Toddlers

The boulevard and parks provide open space, but road crossings and the pebble beach require close supervision.

Children

The Dolphinarium, boulevard attractions, Botanical Garden, beaches and parks can make a varied itinerary.

Teenagers

Cycling, waterfront activities, cable-car viewpoints and regional nature excursions are likely to be more engaging than a purely museum-based itinerary.

Strollers

The central boulevard is one of the easier parts of Batumi for strollers. Old-city pavements and some attraction approaches can be uneven.

Car seats

Do not assume that a taxi or transfer automatically provides a child seat. Request one specifically in advance where required.

Changing facilities

Facilities vary. Shopping centres and larger hotels are more reliable places to find family facilities than small independent venues.
