Melaka attraction tickets: tower, ghost museum, play park

The short answer

Melaka has three separate venue tickets on SkyGate, and each covers one place: a revolving viewing tower, a ghost museum with a guide, and an indoor family park. Pick by what you want to do. A fourth product, a guided day tour from Kuala Lumpur, walks the old city's landmarks but lists no admissions in its price, so it does not replace any of the three tickets.[7]

Melaka's historic city is one half of the UNESCO World Heritage property Melaka and George Town, Historic Cities of the Straits of Malacca, inscribed in 2008. UNESCO's description names Melaka's government buildings, churches, squares and fortifications, from the Malay sultanate and the Portuguese and Dutch periods.[8]

Menara Taming Sari: day or night

The Menara Taming Sari (Malacca Tower) Ticket is for a ride in a revolving glass cabin that rises to 80 metres, according to both SkyGate and the operator, who put the ride at seven minutes.[1] The operator lists St Paul's Hill, the Independence Memorial Building, the Melaka River and the Straits of Melaka among the sights.[2]

SkyGate offers four options: Day Admission and Night Admission, each for International Travellers or Malaysian Citizens.[1] The page does not say when day ends and night begins. The operator gives its address as Jalan Merdeka, Bandar Hilir, and its hours as 9am to 10pm on weekdays and 9am to 11pm on weekends and public holidays.[2] SkyGate's listing says children under 10 must be accompanied by a paying adult aged at least 18, and that last entry is one hour before closing.[1] See the Menara Taming Sari page on XTOUR for the tower.

Ghost Museum Melaka: guide included, address not pinned

The Ghost Museum Melaka Ticket lists admission and a tour guide in the price. SkyGate describes more than 20 recreations of supernatural creatures from Malaysian folklore, and a costume you can wear for a photo.[3] Tourism Melaka's official portal describes themed ghost-story scenes with mannequins and costumes for photos, and lists 10am to 7pm daily.[4]

The four options cross nationality with day: Mondays to Thursdays, or Fridays to Sundays and public holidays. SkyGate's listing lets visitors with disabilities, and students above 17 with a valid student ID, book a Child or Senior ticket.[3]

The exact address is not verified. SkyGate gives Jalan Kampung Hulu, and Tourism Melaka's listing shows no street address.[4][3] The website Tourism Melaka names for the museum did not load when XTOUR tried it, and XTOUR found no mapped building for the museum, so the XTOUR map shows the Melaka destination instead of a venue pin. Confirm the address with the seller after booking.

Wonderpark Melaka: indoor play by day of the week

The Wonderpark Melaka Indoor Family Park Ticket covers an indoor park that the operator places on Level 2 of The Shore, on Jalan Persisiran Bunga Raya, and describes as more than 30 indoor activities on one all-day ticket.[6] SkyGate's listing names a Kidzone with slides and trampolines, a 4D Max screen, iHeritage and a Game Zone, and says the ticket comes with a complimentary food and drink voucher for the in-house cafe. The two options are Admission (Mondays to Thursdays) and Admission (Fridays to Sundays, Public and School Holidays). The old city on a guided tour from Kuala Lumpur

The Malacca City Full-Day Tour from Kuala Lumpur is the product for seeing the historic centre rather than a single venue. Its itinerary visits St Peter's Church, views the A'Famosa fortress and the Porta de Santiago gateway, passes by the Malacca Museums, walks the Dutch Square, then stops at Jonker Street, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and the Melaka River. A'Famosa and Porta de Santiago are viewing stops, not admissions: the price lists lunch, shared round-trip transfers and a driver guide, and no admission.[7] Wikidata records A Famosa as a Portuguese fortress with an inception date of 1511.[9]

The three options are an English tour, an English tour for a solo traveller, and a Mandarin tour. The itinerary has pickup from hotels in Kuala Lumpur city centre, Chinatown and Bukit Bintang, while solo travellers make their own way to a meeting point in front of Starbucks Coffee at the Berjaya Times Square main entrance. The listing says the tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities, back or heart problems, that certain sites enforce a dress code covering shoulders, back and knees, and that St Peter's Church is closed on Mondays.[7] None of the three venue tickets above is on its itinerary.
