Al Shindagha Museum
متحف الشندغة
Al Shindagha Museum is Dubai Culture's museum of Dubai's history and heritage, set in historic houses at Al Shindagha on the Bur Dubai side of Dubai Creek.
Why go
Al Shindagha Museum is run by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority in the Al Shindagha area, which Dubai Culture describes as where Dubai's first rulers lived and where trade and commerce began on the Creek. A 2024 Media Office release on Dubai Culture's venues says the museum's 22 pavilions are spread across more than 80 historical houses and present Dubai's and the UAE's history and heritage. The museum was among the Dubai Culture venues of the 2026 Ramadan Nights programme. This record is the museum, not the Shindagha district, and not the separate Saruq Al Hadid museum or the Perfume House in the same historic district. No entry or booking rule is given here.
