The Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution, known in Japanese as Hito to Bosai Mirai Center (人と防災未来センター), is a museum at 1-5-2 Wakinohamakaigan-dori, Chuo Ward, Kobe, dedicated to the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of 17 January 1995. Its English site, read on 29 September 2026, says visitors can experience the impact of the earthquake and learn practical ways to prepare for future disasters through exhibits and interactive displays. The operator gives hours of 9:30 to 17:30 with admission until 16:30, and closure on Mondays except national holidays and over the New Year, and says general admission is free on the 17th of each month.
