Jewish Museum Berlin
Jüdisches Museum Berlin
The Jewish Museum Berlin is a museum of Jewish history and present in Germany on Lindenstraße in Berlin's Kreuzberg, housed in Daniel Libeskind's building and the Baroque Old Building, the former Collegienhaus.
Why go
The Jewish Museum Berlin says its architectural ensemble in Kreuzberg includes the museum building by Daniel Libeskind, the Baroque Old Building (the former Collegienhaus, once the seat of the Royal Court of Justice and now the museum's entrance), the W. Michael Blumenthal Academy across the street and the ANOHA Children's World. Its core exhibition opened in 2020, alongside temporary exhibitions, collections, a library and an archive. The museum's visit page says visitors to all exhibitions enter through the Old Building, that time-slot tickets can be booked online or in person at the ticket counter, and that entering the buildings means accepting its rules, including the security screening. It recommends reserving a time-slot ticket online in advance to keep waiting short, says walk-in tickets are also available at the ticket desk, and says ANOHA can currently be visited only with a time-slot ticket. This record is the museum, not the Academy alone and not the Libeskind building as an architectural object.
