Why go
From the main road the fall is only a five-minute walk, dropping about fifty metres into a broad pool ringed with greenery, so this is a short stop rather than an excursion. Most people combine it with the arched stone bridge nearby, which GNTA dates to the ninth or tenth century and counts among the largest in Adjara. Picnic spots and local sellers of Adjarian food, honey and churchkhela gather around the site, and GNTA describes it as open all year.
