Puente Nuevo
The Puente Nuevo is the 18th-century bridge across the Tajo gorge in Ronda, Málaga province, Andalusia.
Why go
The Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) is the bridge across the Tajo gorge in Ronda, in the province of Málaga; this record is the bridge, not the gorge or the buildings beside it. Spain's national tourism board says it dates from the 18th century, that it links the neighbourhoods it calls the market and the city on either side of a ravine more than 100 metres deep, and that its foundations sit at the bottom of the ravine. Turismo de Ronda lists the bridge under its 'Own Monuments' with a 'Buy now' booking button, and offers a tourist voucher for the city's main monuments. Visiting times are set by Turismo de Ronda, so check its page before you go.
