Titanic Belfast
Titanic Belfast is a visitor attraction in Belfast's Titanic Quarter, beside the slipways where RMS Titanic was designed, built and launched, telling the ship's story in interactive galleries; a Titanic Experience ticket also covers SS Nomadic.
Why go
Titanic Belfast is an attraction about RMS Titanic beside the Titanic slipways, the Harland & Wolff Drawing Offices and Hamilton Graving Dock, where its home page says Titanic was designed, built and launched; its about page says the building opened on 31 March 2012. The about page says Titanic Belfast is owned by Maritime Belfast Trust, a charity, and the building is operated by Titanic Belfast Ltd, and that it holds interactive exhibition galleries as well as conference and banqueting suites. The FAQ describes the Titanic Experience as a self-guided gallery tour, advises pre-booking to visit at your chosen time and for the best-value online tickets, and says the Grand Staircase is part of the private event suites, not the Experience. The home page says a Titanic Experience ticket also includes entrance to SS Nomadic, which the about page says is berthed in Hamilton Graving Dock. This record is the attraction and its building, not the Titanic Memorial at City Hall or the Titanic Hotel.
