Why go
This record is the lake, which lies in three municipalities and not in Bad Ischl; Bad Ischl is a travel base for it, not its container. Wikidata places the lake in St. Gilgen, Strobl and St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut, and the lake's tourism board presents it through those three places: St. Gilgen on the northern shore, Strobl, and St. Wolfgang against the slopes of the Schafberg. The board's page says the Schafberg railway, a steam cog railway that is not electrified, has run from St. Wolfgang up the Schafberg since 1893. XTOUR states no bathing, boating or shipping rules for the lake.
