Archaeological Site of Ani

A high lake on the Ardahan–Kars border that freezes from late November to early April, according to the Ardahan Governorship. It has its own place page.

Getting there: The directorate's undated page lists taxis or private vehicles, and a free municipal vehicle leaving outside the Governorship building at 10:30 and returning at 15:30. Confirm locally.

Sarıkamış

A ski centre operated by a Kars Governorship company; the Governorship lists nine runs, the longest 5,250 m. The resort announced its 2025–26 season opening for 17 December 2025.
