Weather & seasons
When to visit Sighnaghi
Sighnaghi has a drier eastern Georgian climate than western cities such as Batumi and Kutaisi. Summers are hot and sunny, spring is green and changeable, autumn is especially important for wine harvest, and winters are cold with clearer views of the Caucasus possible on some days.
Best time
April to June and September to October are especially rewarding. Spring brings green landscapes and mild weather, while September and early October coincide with the most active wine-harvest period in Kakheti. July and August are hot and sunny, and winter is quiet with clear days possible but colder temperatures and fewer vineyard activities.
