Quick answer

According to SkyGate's listings read on 29 September 2026, each of the eight tickets admits you to one venue. XTOUR's reading: choose by geography first, because the two aquariums are far apart and the parks split into a Nago group and an Okinawa City pair.

Start with the drive, not the exhibits

Okinawa Island has eight ticketed family venues on SkyGate, and each ticket admits you to one place. XTOUR's reading is that the drive decides more than the exhibits do: the two aquariums are far apart, four of the parks cluster around Nago, and two sit in Okinawa City. The operators' own pages give the aquarium gap. DMM Kariyushi Aquarium says it is about 20 minutes by car from Naha Airport, and Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium says about two hours by car, or about three by express bus.[10][11]

The two aquariums

The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium Ticket is for the aquarium in Ocean Expo Park in Motobu Town, according to the operator's access page.[10] SkyGate's listing centres it on the 7,500-cubic-metre Kuroshio Sea tank with whale sharks and manta rays, the Aqua Room ceiling, an open-top Coral Sea tank and deep-sea animals from 200 to 700 metres.[1] The operator organises the building by floor, from the fourth-floor Invitation to the Great Sea down to the first-floor Journey into the Deep Sea. SkyGate's listing says last admission is one hour before closing and gives dolphin-show times, and both it and the operator tell you to check the operator's site for daily hours.[1][9] There are two options, Admission and Admission (Youth: 16-18 Years), and the youth one is for that age group only. The option data puts voucher exchange at the HIS counter at Naha Domestic Airport, between Arrivals A and B, so you collect the ticket before the long drive north. SkyGate's page also says you may be asked for identification at the aquarium, and does not say what the youth option needs.[1]

The Okinawa DMM Kariyushi Aquarium is a different kind of visit, at Toyosaki in Tomigusuku next to Naha. The operator calls it a new-concept aquarium built around interaction, and lists an otter contact experience, a petting zoo, sloths and owls.[11] SkyGate's listing adds a large underwater tunnel and a multiscreen theatre.[2] Whether the operator's feeding and photo experiences cost extra is not stated on SkyGate's page, so do not assume the ticket covers them. The two options are Admission and Admission (Youth), and SkyGate's option text gives the youth range as 12 to 17 in one place and 13 to 17 in another, so confirm before booking a teenager.[2] The operator's English and Japanese pages showed different hours on the read date, so this guide gives none. The operator says last admission is 60 minutes before closing.[11]

XTOUR's reading: pick DMM Kariyushi for an outing near Naha and Churaumi only if the Kuroshio tank is the reason for the trip, because of the operators' stated car times above.[10][11]

Four parks around Nago

These four are all in Nago, in the north. Two of them, Okinawa Fruits Land and Nago Pineapple Park, are separate operators with separate addresses on Biimata, according to SkyGate's voucher addresses, so book the right one.[6][5] None of the SkyGate pages states drive times between them.

Neo Park Okinawa is the all-day option. SkyGate lists a six-hour visit, and the operator describes an animal and plant park about five times the size of Tokyo Dome with around 100 kinds of animals living without fences. The Neo Park Okinawa Ticket has two options: admission, or admission plus the Okinawa Light Railway, which the operator describes as a 1.2 km loop round the park.[12] SkyGate says the railway's boarding times run from 10:00 to 17:00 and can change with weather and season. Vouchers scan at the entrance, per SkyGate's option data.[3] The operator gives access as about 15 minutes by car from Kyoda IC, or a bus to Nago Bus Terminal followed by a taxi of about 10 minutes.[12]

Dino Park Yanbaru Subtropical Forest is the short stop. The operator says the course takes about 30 to 40 minutes, with more than 80 dinosaurs, rest areas and a kids space with rideable dinosaur cars at the end.[13] SkyGate lists one Admission option of about an hour and says last admission is 5:30 PM.[4] The Dino Park Yanbaru Subtropical Forest Ticket is not the dinosaur tour that Nago Pineapple Park's own page advertises inside its grounds.[15]

Okinawa Fruits Land suits children who like a puzzle. The operator's ticket site describes Tropical Kingdom Story, a picture-book mystery among fruit trees, plus a Bird Yard where you can feed rainbow lorikeets and a Fruit Cafe.[14] The Okinawa Fruits Land Ticket has Admission, or Admission plus a Mini Mango Ice Coupon. The operator's own site sells different sweet-inclusive tickets, so SkyGate's coupon terms are unconfirmed, and SkyGate's page does not give them.[14][5]

Nago Pineapple Park is the plant-and-pineapple stop. SkyGate lists pineapple fields, a tropical garden, a skywalk and a free taste of pineapple wine at the Wine House.[6] The operator adds a distillery, a winery and pineapple sweets.[15] The Nago Pineapple Park Ticket is one Admission option. Its train is the open question: the option text lists a pineapple train ride, SkyGate's additional information says the train runs irregularly, and the operator describes a park-entrance shuttle train plus a separate-fee garden train that also runs irregularly.[15][6] Treat the train as a bonus, not a reason to book.

Two parks in Okinawa City

The Okinawa Zoo & Museum Ticket admits you to the zoo complex, known in Japanese as Okinawa Children's Country.[7] The operator says it opened in 1970 and keeps about 150 kinds of animals, with the Wonder Museum as a hands-on children's museum.[17] SkyGate lists Indian elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions, otters and the Furusato Garden.[7] Two points matter for families. The single option is an adult one for age 16 and up, and both SkyGate and the operator say under-16s are free. And the operator says the Wonder Museum charges a separate entry fee, while SkyGate's price line says only Admission, so the museum is unconfirmed.[7] The operator also publishes a closing day and a typhoon closure rule, so check its page for your date.[16]

The Southeast Botanical Gardens Ticket is for Southeast Botanical Gardens at Chibana, and its one option is Day Time Admission. SkyGate describes about 1,300 kinds of plants over 150,000 square metres, with animal encounters and workshops.[8] The operator publishes an operating calendar and online tickets. The two sources disagree on hours: SkyGate says 9:30 to 17:00 with last admission at 16:00, and the operator's page on the read date showed 9:30 to 18:00 with entry closing at 17:30, so follow the operator's calendar.[8][18] SkyGate notes night events are not covered by this option.[8]

How to choose

  • Landing at Naha with a short day: DMM Kariyushi Aquarium.
  • The Kuroshio tank is the point of the trip: Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, and plan the drive north.
  • Children who want animals and a long day in the north: Neo Park Okinawa.
  • A quick, low-effort stop with dinosaurs: Dino Park Yanbaru Subtropical Forest.
  • Puzzle and birds: Okinawa Fruits Land. Pineapple fields and wine tasting for adults: Nago Pineapple Park.
  • Staying in the middle of the island: the zoo for animals and a museum, the botanical gardens for plants.

Before you book

  • Several listings carry narrow open-date windows on SkyGate, so the SkyGate booking page and the operator's calendar govern availability, not this guide.
  • Collect the Churaumi voucher at Naha Domestic Airport, per the option data.[1]
  • Confirm the youth age range for DMM Kariyushi before booking a teenager.[2]
  • Ask what the zoo ticket includes before counting on the Wonder Museum.[16]
  • SkyGate says the pineapple train may not run on your date.[6]
