Why go
The Church of São Francisco is the church of the former Franciscan convent of São Francisco in Porto. The Associação Comercial do Porto says a fire during the 1832 siege of Porto destroyed the convent almost completely and that only the church, which still stands, survived; the Palácio da Bolsa was built on the ruins of the convent. Wikidata records the church as a National Monument. Who runs visits, what a ticket covers and any entry rules are not recorded here, because no page of the church's operator could be read on 9 October 2026; check locally before you go.
