Doi Inthanon

ดอยอินทนนท์

Doi Inthanon is a mountain in Chom Thong District, Chiang Mai Province, whose peak lies inside Doi Inthanon National Park.

Why go

The Department of Tourism's directory and TAT Newsroom both give the height of Doi Inthanon as 2,565 metres above sea level. A 2019 TAT notice, citing the Department of National Parks, says Doi Inthanon National Park contains the peak, and the directory places its summit entry in Ban Luang subdistrict of Chom Thong District. The directory lists the Thai National Observatory on the summit area, and the Kiew Mae Pan nature trail and waterfalls such as Wachirathan and Mae Ya among things to see on the mountain. TAT's January 2026 notice says national-park attractions close for periods each year and advises checking each park's rules before visiting. This record is the mountain and its summit; the national park is a separate record.
