St. Peter
St. Peter is a Reformed church at St.-Peterhofstatt in Zurich's Old Town, which its parish calls the town church ('Stadtkirche'), with a massive choir tower carrying a large clock face.
Why go
The Reformed parish of Zurich says St. Peter was the town church rather than a monastery church, and describes it as an important architectural monument newly built as a Protestant church after the Reformation, with a Baroque interior. The parish's visit page says entry is free for reflection, prayer and viewing, but that visitors cannot enter during services because the doors are kept closed. It says the tower can be visited only on a guided tour, with private tower tours available on request, and that photography without flash or tripod is allowed for private purposes outside services. This record is the church, not the Lavaterhaus opposite it, which houses a collection on the pastor Johann Caspar Lavater.
