Turia Gardens
Jardí del Túria · Jardín del Turia
The Turia Garden (Jardí del Túria) is a linear urban park in the former bed of the River Turia, running for more than nine kilometres across Valencia.
Why go
The Turia Garden is a chain of green spaces, playgrounds, sports facilities and cultural venues in the old course of the River Turia, which Visit València says was diverted south of the city after the floods of 1957. The tourism board describes it as running across the city from the Parque de Cabecera to the City of Arts and Sciences, for more than nine kilometres, and says eighteen bridges from different periods cross it. The garden has no single entrance: this record's map point is a point inside the garden standing for the whole park, not a gate and not a place to be routed to. OpenStreetMap maps the garden as numbered sections rather than one feature, and Wikidata records it in the municipality of Valencia.
