Uetliberg

The Uetliberg is the hill above Zurich that Zürich Tourism calls the city's own mountain; its summit lies in the municipality of Stallikon, outside the city of Zurich.

Why go

Zürich Tourism says the Uetliberg can be reached on foot or by train and that from the top visitors can see the city and the lake, and perhaps the Alps. Its page names several walking routes up, among them the Hohenstein trail from the Triemli bus stop and the Lantern Path (Alter Uetlibergweg) from Albisgüetli, and the Planet Trail, a themed hike that starts at the Felsenegg cableway in Adliswil. In winter, it says, the hiking trails become toboggan runs. Wikidata places the hill only in the canton of Zurich, and an OpenStreetMap reverse lookup of the summit point places it in Stallikon, so XTOUR treats Zurich as a base for the Uetliberg, not its container. This record is the hill and its summit, not the railway line, the station or the observation tower.
