Why go

VIALAND is a ticketed theme park in Yeşilpınar, Eyüpsultan, on Istanbul's European side. It sits beside the free-entry Vialand shopping mall, a hotel, an open-air stage and an e-sport centre, but park admission is a separate purchase and is not the same as being allowed on every ride, because each ride sets its own height band. According to the operator, the rides include Nefeskesen (a launch coaster reaching 110 km/h, 140-196 cm), the 50 m Adalet Kulesi drop tower, 360 Plus, the Viking water ride and the family coaster Maceraperest (80 km/h, 120-196 cm), plus family and children's rides such as the dark ride Fatih'in Rüyası (built around the 1453 conquest of Constantinople), King Kong, the Çılgın Nehir rapids ride, Minik Kaşifler, Saray Salıncağı, a carousel, bumper cars and an Angry Birds area. A free internal sightseeing train, paid lockers and dryers, three baby-care rooms and two prayer rooms are listed by the operator. The operator calls it Turkey's first theme park; that is its own claim and has not been independently checked. There is no park-wide accessibility statement: each ride page carries its own "Engelli Dostu" (disability-friendly) yes/no flag.

Getting there

The operator's address is Yeşilpınar, Şht. Metin Kaya Sk., 34065 Eyüpsultan, Istanbul. It suggests taking the M7 metro to Veysel Karani-Akşemsettin station and walking about 10 minutes, or an İETT bus to the Veysel Karani Cami stop; it also lists a car park of about 8,000 spaces. The operator runs a free door shuttle, and a mall shuttle between the metro station and the mall main entrance every 15 minutes between 10:00 and 20:00. These are transport links to the complex, not a confirmed park gate; the operator does not publish the park entrance position. Tickets are sold on the operator's website (vialand.com/biletler) and at the gate ticket offices and kiosks. Pets are not allowed in the park.

Accessibility

The operator publishes no park-wide accessibility statement. Each ride page has an "Engelli Dostu" yes/no flag (for example the carousel is yes; Nefeskesen and Maceraperest are no). According to the operator's FAQ, visitors with disabilities must enter with a companion, the companion should watch a full ride cycle first, and ride staff may refuse boarding. Wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge from the guest relations office, and strollers can be rented for a fee from the gift shops. The operator does not describe walking distances, stairs or a step-free route through the park; ask before you go if that matters. Pregnant visitors may enter on a free pregnancy ticket approved by the operations manager but may not use any ride, according to the FAQ.
