Why go
The Wörthersee is a lake in Carinthia; Klagenfurt's tourism board says the city lies directly on the lake, on its east bay, and gives an area of 19.4 km² and a length of 16.5 kilometres. Wörthersee Tourismus lists tourist information for Velden, Schiefling, Techelsberg, Maria Wörth and Reifnitz, Krumpendorf, Moosburg, Pörtschach and Klagenfurt in its region. The lake is shared by several municipalities, so it is not treated as part of Klagenfurt. This record is the lake as an area; its pin is a point on the water, not a pier, a lido or a town.
