Tasik Dayang Bunting is a freshwater lake on Pulau Dayang Bunting, which LADA describes as the second-largest island of the Langkawi archipelago, about 20 km from Kuah. The island's name, Pregnant Maiden, comes from the shape of its hills. LADA says the lake formed when a large limestone cave collapsed, and places it in the Dayang Bunting Marble Geoforest Park. LADA also tells its legend: the celestial princess Mambang Sari bathed here, and after her infant died she left the child in the lake. LADA notes that some believe childless women who bathe in the lake will conceive.
The lake is on an island and is reached by boat from Langkawi's main island. OpenStreetMap maps a ticket counter and two piers on the west shore of the island near the lake.
