Where to stay in Antalya

The right neighborhood can matter more than the right hotel. Compare atmosphere, location and who each area suits.

Kaleiçi

The old harbour town, entered through Hadrian's Gate. The municipality's monument catalogue, the Yivli Minare complex, Hesapçı Sokak and the yacht marina with the Toy Museum are all inside it, and the Ministry's culture portal says it holds restaurants, cafes, hotels, pensions and shops selling local products. GoTürkiye pairs it with Karaalioğlu Park and marina boat tours.

Konyaaltı

Both a beach and one of the province's 19 districts. The beach is about 7 km of fine pebbles, Antalya Aquarium is 70 m from it, and a Governorate report from 2017 records a municipal accessible-beach pier. The Ministry's Antalya Museum, on Konyaaltı Caddesi, is in Muratpaşa district and was closed to visits on 21 September 2026.

Lara

The resort strip GoTürkiye lists among Antalya's resort areas. The municipality's public beach there is sandy and holds a Blue Flag, the Lower Düden waterfall is on the way (8 km from the centre in the direction of Lara), and the beach is about 10 km from the airport.

The Blue Flag database puts the public beach 15 km from the city centre, so plan on transport rather than walking to Kaleiçi.

Belek and Kadriye (Serik district)

A separate resort area outside the city that GoTürkiye lists alongside Lara and Kemer. Land of Legends is in Kadriye, and the operator describes it as part of a resort complex with hotels and a free-entry shopping street. DHMİ lists Serik 30 km from Antalya Airport.

The distance from Kadriye to the city centre is not published in the sources read; DHMİ lists Serik 30 km from the airport, against 13 km for the centre.
