Langkawi SkyCab is a cable car run by Panorama Langkawi from its Base Station at Oriental Village, at the foot of the Machinchang range in north-west Langkawi. According to the operator, the ride stops at a Middle Station at 650 m, where visitors can step out to viewing points, and continues to a Top Station at 708 m with two viewing platforms. The operator lists 53 standard six-person gondolas taking about 15 minutes to the top, plus glass-bottom, VIP, 360-degree and private gondolas. LADA describes the rocks of the Machinchang Formation below as Cambrian, 550 to 505 million years old.
The Base Station is at Oriental Village on Langkawi's west coast. The operator gives about 20 minutes' drive from Langkawi International Airport and 39 minutes from Kuah town, and suggests searching navigation apps for 'Langkawi Cable Car'.
The operator says a short climb of stairs leads from the Top Station to the viewing platforms. It does not publish a step-free route.
