Money & costs
How much does Goris cost?
The currency is the Armenian dram. Card acceptance in Goris is limited: some hotels and larger restaurants take cards, but guesthouses, the market, taxis, roadside vendors and many small businesses want cash. There are ATMs in the town centre, but they are few and can be out of service or out of cash, and there is very little further south. Draw what you need in Yerevan or at least on arrival in Goris rather than assuming you can top up. The cable car and most site fees are payable at the point of use; confirm accepted payment methods rather than relying on a card. Prices in the south are generally lower than Yerevan, with the notable exception of the cable car.

Roughly 40,000–75,000 AMD per person per day as of September 2026, covering a comfortable guesthouse or small hotel, guesthouse dinners, the cable car and a private driver for a full day.
Luxury
